cooking food ’tis not my own

'tis not my own

Cooking other people’s recipes is great. And fun. My perspective is skewed a bit, however. Rather, their recipes are baseline.
A jumping off point to the extremely enriched buttery, toasty,
golden brown and deliciousness we call sourdough.
 Bread.

No, I don’t make bread. Yet.
I simply use the resources laid in front of me and give it all my arsenal to create something magical.
When you bite into the crunchy, buttery crust of the sourdough,
it takes you back to a time, neigh, a moment where all the breads
in all the world could not possibly contend to this one.
I digress...

The egg in a hole.

First of all, I love the movie "Moonstruck."
You know, the one with Cher and Nicholas Cage. Loretta's motha makes dees eggs in da hole with roasted red peppas.

All in one pan, a ballet of turning and flipping, a swirling symphony of cracks and pops. A joyous applause to thee one and only sourdough
to make this the world's champion.
